Bringing Life to Cartoons at Siyane Toastmasters Club’s 334th Meeting!
Greetings to our vibrant Toastmasters community!
If you missed out on our 334th meeting held on 3rd September 2023, here’s a quick rewind just for you. The room was buzzing with excitement and creativity as we journeyed into the whimsical world of cartoons and animations!
TM Dilanka Bandara took center stage as the Toastmaster of the Day (TMoD) and, trust me, he was nothing short of fantastic! Guided by the theme, Bringing Life to Cartoons, TM Dilanka immersed us all in a delightful animated experience. From role players introducing themselves in fun cartoonish twists to hand-drawn caricatures adding a personal touch, it was an aesthetic treat! And let’s not forget the grand reveal of these caricatures during the meeting, which added a whole new dimension of fun and interaction.
Now, if you thought the meeting was just about discussions and introductions, think again! TM Dilanka also graced us with a hands-on demonstration of how to craft a simple 2D animation. Whether you’re a newbie or a seasoned animator, there was a golden nugget for everyone.
But wait, there’s more! Before the day’s core meeting commenced, the ever-charismatic TM Ruwanthi Perera – our champion speaker – blessed us with her wisdom. The session titled, “Know Your Audience” from the Better Speaker Series came just in time, shedding light on tailoring our speeches for the audience, especially with the upcoming speech contest season. Kudos to TM Ruwanthi for her insights!
As the formalities wrapped up, the real party began! We transitioned to an entertainment and networking session that had members old and new bonding over tunes. Yes, we sang together, laughed together, and cherished the little moments. A warm shout-out to all our new members – we’re thrilled to have you on board and hope you felt the Siyane Toastmasters Club love!
In essence, the 334th meeting was not just another day at the club. It was a day where creativity met learning, where fun met formality, and where every member left with a memory and perhaps a caricature or two!
