On the 20th of August 2023, from 2.30 p.m to 5.30 p.m, the auditorium of the District Secretariat Office in Gampaha became a portal to the past, as Siyane Toastmasters Club embarked on a unique voyage with Meeting No 333. The theme? Time Travel.
With TM Himantha Thennakoon at the helm as the Toastmaster of the Day, attendees were transported on a captivating journey, revisiting memorable moments of yesteryears. The room was alive with nostalgia, as members and guests shared tales of their past, reflecting on experiences that shaped their lives, intertwined with the magic of time travel.
In addition to this mesmerizing experience, the day held special significance for the club. We were honored to welcome the Area F1 Director, TM Niluka Dissanayake, as part of her official visit. Her presence not only added prestige to the event but also provided valuable insights for the club’s growth and future direction.
Following the time-honored Toastmasters tradition of introspection and feedback, TM Dissanayake presented her report on the club’s performance and operations. It was a moment of immense pride for all members as she expressed her commendation and admiration for the club’s dedication, creativity, and commitment to excellence.
While the primary theme was Time Travel, the atmosphere was thick with the essence of unity, growth, and shared visions for the future. It was clear to see that while we cherish our past and the memories that come with it, we are equally enthusiastic and optimistic about the future and the infinite possibilities it holds.
